What's the band's history so far?

The band have been around for two years but have only had a vocalist and been touring since October when Natalie (vocalist) started her MA at Lancs uni. We first performed at our local open mic nights and people came up to us and gave us our first gig! We decided to name ourselves The Evil Beat after seeing it on a porn site (don't ask who was looking there). We now are booked up doing gigs around the Lancaster area and we are thoroughly looking forward to playing 'Parklife' because of the open air venue in Williamson Park! We get compared to Portishead and Massive Attack A LOT so our genre of music tend to fall into the Trip-Hop scene.

Trip- Hop, Portishead, Massive attack, Tool...

Best moment so far?

People making contributions to a free gig we were headlining and throwing in 拢10 and 拢5 (it was our biggest crowd yet).

Worst/most embarrassing moment so far?

Natalie's top fell down when she was really going for it in the heavy bits. She didn't notice for ages.

What's your favourite song? Or which song do you wish you'd written?

Of ours it is 'Hospital', of others 'Explode' by Uh Huh Her.
