Property development

I have bought two propertys in the last five years. I bought a harbour front house in a small fishing village called Villaricos near Almería five years ago. The property has increased in value so much that I have now bought a finca about four kilometers from Villaricos. The land has permission to build and I would like to develop the land by building a house adjacent to the finca with a swimming pool. My dream would be to turn some of the land into a tropical garden. I plan to leave my work in the UK to live permanently in Spain later this year.

Take extreme care with planning permission. Permissions can sometimes be restricted to a few months and if you don't complete you have to reapply. Ensure you have an approved Obra Nueva for each build. Obtained and stamped, paid for and approved at your local town hall. Without this many fall foul of their right to demolish ... as in the UK.
