Tobias Reece, from Roundhay, Leeds, was diagnosed as a paranoid schizophrenic when he was 16. The illness had a big impact on his life and he spent a lot of time during his later teenage years in hospitals and on various medications. Now, several years on, he has the illness under control and has discovered that there have been several positive benefits to living with this condition. Tobias reading a book One of the benefits is his ability to retain information and acquiring a thirst for knowledge. He satisfies this craving by reading books and spending lots of time on the internet finding out new bits of information. All this knowledge he puts to good use in pub quizzes which he attends several times a week.
