Amitabh Bachchan, the legendary Bollywood actor came to Leicester to receive an honorary degree of Doctorate of Arts in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the film industry in India. The degree from De Montfort University captured his fans attention across the city. Thousands of his fans gathered to meet him during his visit to the Golden Mile. Fans of all ages came to get a glimpse of the Bollywood icon. He was then escorted to a question and answer session at the Walkers Stadium with all proceeds going to charity.
