Madness, mayhem and men in stockings, it can mean only one thing - the Rocky Horror Show's big '3-0'.

Grab your bask, stilettos and bright red lipstick (that's just the men) and head for one of the liveliest shows, with more audience participation than your local panto.

For those of you who have never seen the film version of this saucy production, a quick viewing prior to the show would certainly be advised to achieve maximum enjoyment and understanding.

All American sweethearts Brad (ar**hole) and Janet (sl*t) - not my judgements but the hearty response of a well versed audience - embark upon a trip to visit their old science teacher, Dr Scott.

An untimely breakdown in the middle of a storm finds the pair calling in at a mysterious castle, the owner of which is a transsexual transvestite by the name of Frank N Furter.

Relieved of their wet clothes, the couple become farcically embroiled in the bizarre exploits of the household and are soon 'Time Warping' along with the best of them.

If you have never been to the stage version of the show before, you may feel slightly baffled by the audiences perfectly timed responses. There are no prompts or placards, just extremely loyal fans fond of ritual verbal abuse.

In fact it is sometimes difficult to know who you should be watching - the performers, or the lavishly dressed audience, many of whom give the costume department a run for their money!

This is not to say that the performance on stage were not of a great standard. Jonathon Wilkes (Frank N Furter) had great comic timing and thrived on the audiences heckles - although getting to grips with stairs in stilettos proved a bigger challenge.

The rest of the cast gave excellent performances and Graham Tudor's (Rocky) toned physique will have you dashing to the gym.

With great costumes, a B-movie set and fantastic music, the Rocky Horror Show is for hardened fans and show virgins alike. So twang your suspenders in time to the music and be prepared to get up off your seat - you're in for a lively night...
