Ollie Chase

Ollie Chase is the user generated content producer for 大象传媒 London. Based in our East London office at Rich Mix in Bethnal Green, his work depends on your input.

Documenting London life in the 21st century would be a daunting prospect without interesting people and great stories.

We are all lucky to be living in a genuine world city which acts as an important hub in the global economy. But though this has led to advances that have generally made life easier for the majority, we all seem to lead more complex lives.

"Why not email me at ollie.chase@bbc.co.uk if you've got a story you'd like to tell."

There's never enough time to do all the things you'd like or you've got the time but don't have the money....

It can often seem like a bit of a struggle to keep pace with life in London but in this digital, media savvy age, all kinds of information is available on demand which makes it very difficult to stay completely in the dark for long.

User generated content, also known as citizen journalism, is just another way of sharing information, knowledge and experience in a city that constantly throws up a confusing and exciting array of head spinning changes.

This site gives you the chance to tell us what's new, unique, fantastic or sad in your area. You can do that by sending me your photos and films or by making an audio story. You can also write an article which I can publish on the site.

Why not look around the Your Stories pages to see what others have done? You can click on some of the stories in the box up on the right side of this page.

Examples

There might be something happening in your local community that makes you feel as though you're living in the best place on earth or there might be something going on in your area that makes you want to cry out in despair.

You may play an active role in a local history group, community centre, school or college that is encouraging others to take pride in their area or maybe you're witnessing a breakdown in community cohesion and mutual respect.

You might want to show how your life experience or an exhibition, play or film gives you a fresh insight on our history, a pressing issue or a different culture which is at odds with prevailing attitudes within our society.

A great opportunity

It would be difficult for one person to cover all of London's myriad stories which is why user generated content is such a great opportunity for all of us.

It gives you the chance to have your say, in your own way while I get the chance to work with a diverse range of Londoners brimming with great ideas.

听听
So if you've got a story, event or exhibition that you think more people need to know about then I want to hear from you.

If there's an issue in your area that you want to highlight then I want to hear about that too.

Why not let me know if your workplace has embarked on a community project that deserves recognition or you might want to focus on the work of your local community centre....

These are the boroughs that i'm currently covering:
Havering, Barking & Dagenham, Waltham Forest, Redbridge, Newham, Tower Hamlets, Hackney, Haringey, Ealing, Hounslow, Greenwich, Bexley and Croydon
