Find out more about 大象传媒 London's 2012 Olympics Correspondent Adrian Warner

Adrian began his career as a reporter for the international news agency Reuters in 1986 after taking a degree in French and German.

He was posted as a foreign correspondent for 10 years and first got his appetite for sports politics when he broke stories on East Germany's drug-taking regime shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989.

His first contact with a major sports event came in 1988 when he was called up as a late replacement for the Reuters team at the Seoul Olympics. He has covered every Olympics and World Cup since. The 2008 Beijing Olympics are his 11th Games.

Adrian started specialising in the complex politics of the International Olympic Committee in 1996.

After moving back to the UK, he joined London's Evening Standard in 2002 as sports news correspondent and was the paper's leading writer on London's bid for the 2012 Games.

He co-wrote a book on London's dramatic bid published in 2006. The following year he was named Britain's Sports News Reporter of the Year by the Sports Journalists' Association for stories on football finance and the Olympics.

Adrian joined 大象传媒 London in May 2007 in the new role of Olympics Correspondent.

When he's not reporting, Adrian coaches youth rugby and plays golf. He's hoping to qualify as a rugby referee soon.

He also sings in one of Britain's leading choirs which regularly performs at the Royal Albert Hall, the Barbican and the Festival Hall.
