History

King, who was joined by David Lammy MP, at the launch, said: "A lot of hard work has gone into the book, it shows the true history of Tottenham as a club, and I'm really pleased that it's in a museum like Bruce Castle, so a lot of other people can get a chance to see it".

The book with pages that measure half a metre square,听 features exclusive interviews with Jimmy Greaves, Dave Mackay, Ossie Ardiles and Jurgen Klinsmann and offers a unique perspective on the history of the first English club to claim a European trophy.

拢4,000-拢10,000

The Spurs Opus, which was commissioned last year provides a complete history of Tottenham Hotspur Football Club, and various editions can be purchased by the public for between 拢4,000-拢10,000.

So precious is the giant, heavy book, that all visitors will be provided with white gloves before leafing though the thick glossy pages.

Community

The copy of the Opus, which was presented by the football club, was accepted on behalf of the museum by MP for Tottenham, David Lammy.

Mr Lammy said: "Tottenham Hotspur are at the heart of this community and what this community is about. So to have this Opus as a record of Tottenham Hotspurs contribution to this community over many years, and to have it here at Bruce Castle Museum, which is really beloved by many residents is a wonderful moment.

"I'm really pleased to see the club supporting local museums and archives' in this way".

Visitors wishing to view the Spurs Opus, which is stored in Bruce Castle Museum's Archive Search-room, can do so by making an appointment.
