Recession buster - Sausage and Mash

Recession buster - Sausage & Mash

Top restaurants, low prices

London restaurants are offering some of the best deals to combat the effects of the recession. We take a look at some of the offers including one cut price deal from one of the world's leading chefs.

2 for 1 deals, 50% off, a free glass of champagne - the offers keep coming in across the capital's restaurants. One restaurant, the Little Bay in Farringdon, is even offering food for free if the customer doesn't want to pay - you only pay for what you think the food is worth.

The deals are not just confined to high street chains and small independent restaurants, even Michelin starred restaurants in London are also offering bargain deals to beat the recession.

Marco's, Stamford Bridge

Marco's, Stamford Bridge

At Stamford Bridge, home of Chelsea Football Club, Marco's Restaurant is hosting a series of Bangers & Mash and Fine Ale nights to lure in thrifty punters.

The restaurant, a joint venture between Marco Pierre White and Chelsea Football Club, opened to rave reviews offering delights such as foie gras and grilled Dover soul but can sausage and mash reallyÌýappeal to the Chelsea elite?

Livio Italiani, General Manager of Marco said: "The offer is aimed at people who visit Stamford Bridge and for those who live nearby - not just football fans of the club. By choosing a British classic and a choice of English ales it offers fantastic value for money"

The Bangers & Mash and Fine Ale nights (£10.50) will be available on the evenings of 17th – 21st February (lunchtime as well on the 17th).Ìý
