A shame that Ronnie's seems to have now become just another money making jazz club. It's definitely lost it's character and I don't like the fact you cannot stay for both sets on the weekend now, despite paying hgher prices. Also sad that they don't have the reduced entrance fee for MU members - not that I am one, but that's what Ronnie's was about - bringing great music to everyone especially budding musicians.

I have been going to Ronnie's for 30 year's and I'm afraid the new owner has ripped the soul out of the club not forgetting ripping you off, so i wont be going back again, a shame really as it was a great venue and the patrons were fantastic.

The food maybe better, but did anyone really ever go there for the food? I think not. A more restrained refurbishment was needed, one that allowed Ronnies to maintain some of its provenance.

Half, or more, of the charm of Ronnie's was the old suroundings, you felt like you were sat where the greats played! Now it looks like the Lloyds bar on Charing Cross. And being a student that had to save up to go anyway, I'll have to say goodnight to Ronnie Scotts now.

as long as it is non-smoking I am not compaining. I went to Jazz Cafe when Average White Band were there a few weeks ago and sympathised with the sax player for all the cigarette smoke there was in the venue. Let's watch that space....

Used to be one of my favourite places, but now there's no chance i'll put up the cost of the evening. Wouldn't really want to go to a Jazz Club full of business men and women anyway! I'm off to the 606!
