exactly is to blame for this downturn in audience figures?
When
we asked Londoners what they thought, high ticket prices, a dearth
of good quality shows, and the high price of transport, including
the congestion charge, were all blamed.

Variety's
theatre critic Matt Wolf told 大象传媒 London that theatres should simply
close down for a few weeks when they don't have a high quality show
in the offing.
But
would this send out the wrong message to London's millions of visitors
if the doors were shut at well-known venues?
