Angie
Greaves
Former
大象传媒 GLR and London Live presenter, Angie
Greaves is the voice of The Rush, the drivetime
show from 大象传媒 2002 97.7FM Commonwealth Games
Radio Station.
London-born
Angie started her media career in 1982 as
a 大象传媒 Administrator before moving on to
London's Capital Radio, where she completely
mesmerised her colleagues with her mischievous
sense of humour and infectious laughter.
In
fact, it was during one of these moments
that she was "discovered" by DJ David "Kid"
Jensen who immediately got her into the
studio to do some voiceovers. From that
moment, Angie was hooked and set about eagerly
honing her new skills to become a successful
presenter and producer in her own right
and eventually going on to win a prestigious
EMMA (Ethnic Minority Media Award).
Angie,
often referred to as the Barbados Queen
because of her work for the Barbados High
Commission, has an intimate knowledge of
Commonwealth Countries and every year plays
a leading part in the St Lucia Jazz Festival
and even presents the breakfast programme
on the national station.
Talking
about her new appointment, Angie says: "I
can't wait to get my teeth into radio once
again after a break to have my second baby.
Presenting five days a week is a great challenge
- and I just love a challenge. I'm sure
the programmes will be as exciting for our
listeners, as they will be for me as the
presenter!"
