This year, the smorgasbord is even bigger. Having added one more venue, SFTOC's organisers have invited six of Manchester's finest, most progressive and downright brilliant promoters to take charge of a venue each.
 | Sam Lench of The Waverton Collective |
The promoters are Club Brenda, Blowout, High Voltage, Rain or Shine, The Red Deer Club and Golden Lab, an eclectic mix of sounds and styles that will provide a diversity of tip-top tunes and many, many dancing opportunities. There's a run-down of each venue linked on the right, but if you're a novice to the rising stars of the local music scene, we've got a few tips of who to see.

Top of the list not to miss are the twin powers of Cherry Ghost (at Rain or Shine) and The Whip (at Blowout), both of whom are causing a stir every time they appear and both of whom should be heading for greatness. Mr Magic Arm (at Club Brenda) should be a worthwhile entry if his previous exploits with Escape Pod are anything to go by, while Quack Quack (at Golden Lab) are something crazily special. Also, expect knock-out turns from the much vaunted Dead Disco (at High Voltage) and the excellent Waverton Collective (at Red Deer Club). Best of all, it's dirt cheap! For a mere seven quid, you get access to all the venues and your pick of all the bands. Given that the music runs for around seven hours and there's something like 40 bands involved, that has to be the best value-for-money gig price ever!
