George Best Big Screen footy archive

See if you can spot your favourite team and watch them evolve from very droopy drawers of the first years up to the very short shorts of the 70's! Footage includes Burnley v Manchester United 1970 (G Best), and Blackburn Rovers v West Bromwich Albion 1898.

GREATER MANCHESTER SCHOOLS FILM FESTIVAL

The Big Screen is also playing host to six films made by local school children, highlights from a festival taking place in the city this month.

VETERANS DAY

Look out too for some fascinating war archive footage featuring Manchester and Mancunian service men and women - being shown on screen on Friday 27th June. This unique footage comes from the North West Film Archive and is being shown to coincide with the Manchester Veterans Day parade.
