Formed seven years ago in a Mancunian pub, MaK has been working to support the Kosovan people, helping them rebuild their lives after the atrocities of ethnic cleansing in the Balkans. Work has already begun on the Manchester Peace Park and it鈥檚 hoped that the festival at Platt Fields will allow the completion of it. The park will provide a landmark for those evacuee families who, having sought refuge in Manchester, have now returned to their homes and wish to commemorate their time here. |
