The video sees many of Lowry鈥檚 paintings and figures woven into the scenes of a matchstick Oasis wandering around Manchester and Salford. There鈥檚 references to the likes of Lowry鈥檚 Britain At Play, Daisy Nook Fair, Man Lying On A Wall and Going To The Match - which is cheekily changed from being Burden Park to the Gallagher鈥檚 beloved Maine Road. The inclusion of Manchester City isn鈥檛 the only thing that makes a nod to Oasis though. The lads also take a walk past a Lowry-ised Johnny Roadhouse Music and Sifters record shop.

The video will get its first TV airing on Top of the Pops on 大象传媒2 at 9.05pm on Saturday 21 October, and will appear on the Stop The Clocks EP (released 13th November), a preview from the first ever Oasis Best Of of the same name, released a week later. Noel from Nagasaki?

And The Masterplan isn鈥檛 the only Oasis track getting a new video for the EP. That other b-side classic, Acquiesce, has also been given a new look. It鈥檚 not animation this time though. Instead, the band are replaced by the brilliantly named Oasia, a Japanese covers band, shot on location in London and Japan. It was directed by Robert Hales, who recently won an MTV Music Award this year for Gnarls Barkley鈥檚 Crazy.
