The Whip The Whip get fried!With an almost omnipresent place on the Manchester scene all year and a couple of killer singles, The Whip have been, well, whipping up a storm, so get ready to rejoice as the band have put pen to paper and signed an album deal. Having considered all offers, and there were plenty on the table, the band decided on teaming up with Southern Fried, Fatboy Slim鈥檚 record label. Best of all, there鈥檚 news that they鈥檙e working with Arctic Monkeys, Kasabian and Editors producer, Jim Abbiss, so great things can be expected.
A source at Southern Fried says the label are "really proud and happy to have signed The Whip, a band whose career we have followed and been fans of since their early days. "Their live show has gone from strength to strength this year and the recording of the album should just be a formality. Bring on 2008!" For The Whip, the choice of label was a simple one. As they put it, "Southern Fried showed us the most love. We're really looking forward to working hard and partying harder with Southern Fried."
