Two concerts, tonight and tomorrow (15 & 16 Oct), at the MEN Arena have had to be postponed. The Police, featuring the original line-up of Sting, guitarist Andy Summers, and drummer Stewart Copeland were due to perform at the MEN Arena on 15 & 16 October as part of their Police Reunion world tour. But tour promoters Live Nation have confirmed that both concerts have been postponed because Sting has a throat infection. The Police concerts in Germany and Belgium last week were also postponed after doctors advised Sting to rest. Concert organisers say a new date for the shows will be confirmed shortly. It's not the first time Sting has pulled out of a Manchester gig through illness: in 2004, the singer was forced to postpone his MEN show because he was suffering from laryngitis. The band broke up in the mid 1980s, but reunited in early 2007 with the announcement that they were undertaking a huge, international world tour. last updated: 15/10/07 SEE ALSOYou are in: Manchester > Entertainment > Music > News and Interviews > Sting out of MEN show [an error occurred while processing this directive] all the music on the 大象传媒 |
