The Whip

The Whip's sister act

Having just completed the recording of their debut album, rising electro-indie stars The Whip are celebrating with a raft of live dates and new single, Sister Siam.

Even by their head-mashingly catchy standards, the track is insanely addictive and comes topped with remixes from Bitchee Bitchee Ya Ya Ya, James Rutledge and Manc DJ supremo Justin Robertson.

They've also done a great video for the track which sees the four piece make an intrepid journey into space in what might just be the most hilariously brilliant cardboard spaceship ever to be launched on film.

The band play everywhere from Brighton to Newcastle in the coming month, popping into Manchester for two shows – the first alongside Digitalism at the Warehouse Project and the second headlining the Music Box.

Their album is due for release early next year and as they've been recording with Jim Abbiss -Ìý who’s worked with Arctic Monkeys, Editors and Kasabian - it looks like it'll be a belter.

Sister Siam is out on Southern Fried on Monday 12 November. The band play the Warehouse Project on Saturday 17 and the Music Box on Sunday 18 November.
