None more so, than our Manchester City reporter Ian Cheeseman... If I had a penny for everyone who asked me, "What's going on at Manchester City?...." I'm as bewildered as everyone else by events at the end of the 2007/08 season. I know what has happened but I'm puzzled by the thinking behind Sven-Goran Eriksson's imminent departure from Eastlands. As you will have read in my monthly column, I've always found Sven to be a charming and respectful man and have been impressed by the start he has made to the three year project offered to him by owner Thaksin Shinawatra. Are you as puzzled as me? It seems that Phil Scolari is Thaksin's first choice to replace Eriksson. Will he want to take on the challenge after Eriksson was shown the door after just 36 league games in charge? And will the players now start deserting the club? Player of the season Richard Dunne hasn't agreed a new deal, so he could lead the exodus. What are your views?
