And
they don't mind a bit 'cos they're very proud to say that their
favourite night is a spring chicken compared to its audience.
Not
many clubs can claim to have such a longstanding and loyal following
and despite being up against much more fashionable joints the Twisted
Wheel is holding its own and enjoying a much needed flirtation with
the younger generation and a whole new clientele.
This
is a night that welcomes the novice with open arms. From the front
desk to the DJs you won't get anything but a warm reception and
don't be put off by the age of the dancers, the majority have more
energy than your average thirty year old and that, they say is what
helps to keep them young!
Promoter
Pete Roberts has been running this incarnation of the Twisted Wheel
since 1999 and says that if the chance ever came to buy it he would. Click here to read an an interview
with Pete.
So
if you fancy hearing some Northern that won't leave you wondering
then check it out - it's extremely hot and pretty small but the
music policy is strictly aimed at dancers and it doesn't matter
if you've never heard a northern tune in your life before - highly
recommended!
What
do you want to do now?
