Al
Bradley has been into house music for as long as he can remember
but when he says house he means house!
"Not
trippy, funky, happy or anything else just deep house" he says
and because Al got frustrated at hearing the same bland sets being
played in clubs he decided to do something about it.
June
this year saw the birth of 3am Recordings - a label dedicated
to finding new talent and taking house back to its roots.
"I
don't want to take over the world, I just want to let people hear
what real house music is all about. I think people are bored with
hearing the same old stuff played by over paid DJs in clubs that
aren't really interested in doing anything but making money."
Al
says that he wants the label to be recognised as a quality product.
"When people see our music in shops I want them to think of
3am in the same vein as 20/20 and Shaboom...me and my business partner
Guy Williams are really determined to have that."

They're
also committed to their club nights where solid deep house music
and customer service are a priority.
"We
don't tend to have big names on at Audiotonic - our nights -and
you'll find me doing the door when I'm not playing, I think that's
important to be seen around your club so that people feel they can
come up and talk to you.In fact we have such a loyal audience that
recently when we had to change something after we went to the effort
of telephoning and emailing people direct they turned up to the
rearranged event from all over the country!"
Audiotonic
has a new venue from next Friday (3 September) when it takes over
the Soap Bar at Sankeys. "We're really looking forward to this
'cos we've got the space for the whole night which is great for
us and sees the next stage in our development as a respected club
night."
Things
are going well for Al and Guy and two EPs by their first signing
Argentinians Cuidad Feliz have sold very well. They're set to release
six more this year and two early in 2004.
But they're also looking for new talent and although they won't
be signing anyone before next year if you fancy your chances as
a serious house producer then you can email 大象传媒i Clubbing and we'll
let Al and Guy know about you! Click
