Well loads actually and as you've already packed in pretty much more than most people and your name is Jason Herd then it's more a case of ok onto the next project!

Manchester's own uber promoter mr Herd is currently schmoozing and working with some of the biggest names in celebdom but being a good Northern lad he's not letting it go to his head too much.

As he told Debbie Troops "People think that dance music is really glamourous and it is but it's also b****y hard work! Dance music isn't selling half the records it used to and you have to work harder than ever to get the right sound that people want to buy. I'm doing well at the moment but I'm keeping my feet on the ground because I know that can all change very quickly."

Jason started life as a Northern Soul boy and says that it was one of his earliest, and remains, a strong influence. "I like a funky sound and a good song. It's important for me that my tracks have a strong funky sound and on my latest album I feel I've achieved that." (Review of Jason's album coming soon.)

But his next big project is the 2Risque Diva Nights. As he exclusively revealed to 大象传媒i Clubbing.

"The Diva Nights were something that we decided to try at the 2Risque events that I co-promote with my partner Rob, we've already done one and it went really well so we thought let's do more. The next one is on 13th of September in Manchester and it'll be great."

Jason also has a full line-up of the established 2Risque nights in Manchester including the monthly allnighters where the playlist is strictly aimed at the ladies. "A direct marketing ploy," he laughs "we thought that if we got the girls dancing then the lads would follow and we were right 'cos it definately seems to work!"

But not content with all that, recently, mr Herd's been hanging out with some of the Godfathers of house music including Jellybean Benitez and Kenny Carpenter.

"Oh yeah, that was fantastic we were all staying in a villa in Tuscany and there's these legends of the dance scene round the pool with their kids and families! But deejaying with them was amazing - really good!"

Jason's new single 'Whatever You Dream' featuring Angie Brown is released on Subliminal Soul on the 12th of September (review coming soon) with an Amrick Chana collaberation 'Hindu Summer' due in October.
