Africa Talks Climate

Based on research across six countries in sub-Saharan Africa, this policy briefing exposes the information gap in Africa about climate change.

Publication date: October 2009

Overview: African citizens are least responsible for generating the greenhouse gases that are causing the global climate to change. Yet they are already suffering, and will continue to suffer, some of the most devastating consequences of climate change.

This policy brie铿乶g, rooted in detailed research carried out across six African countries, argues that African citizens both need and have the right to information on how human-induced climate change will impact on their lives and how they can adapt. It also argues that African citizens have a major role in educating those principally responsible for climate change about its true impact.
