Loy9: Reaching and engaging the Cambodian youth audience on issues of civic participation

Using multimedia platforms including a TV series, a radio call-in show, live events and social media, the Loy 9 project has successfully reached more than 2 million young people since it was launched in January 2011.

Overview: This research explores the impact of Loy9 on young people in Cambodia, looking in particular at how it influenced their knowledge of and attitudes towards civic engagement.

Based on a nationally representative survey of more than 2000 young people aged 15–24 drawn from all 24 provinces in Cambodia, the briefing explores the Loy9 audience profile and measures their engagement with the various Loy9 platforms.
