From the weird to the wonderful, the hilarious to the moving, Glasto 2017 was always unexpected. Here's the 15 things we really never saw coming:
1. It didn't rain
We know the weather forecast said it wouldn't, but this is Glastonbury - who'd trust the weather forecast?!?
2. Nothing But Thieves passing a pint THROUGH the crowd
And it didn't spill a drop!
3. The bumbag comeback
One fashion trend we thought had been consigned to history and probably will be again soon!
4. Katy Perry crowdsurfing
It was the most Katy Perry crowdsurf you'll ever see. Confetti!
5. Strictly's Ed Balls queuing for a shower like a normal punter
Yes, the former MP. We wonder if he used the long-drop toilets!
6. The Killers secret set
When you see a Secret Guest's lined up for mid-Sunday afternoon, you expect it to be one of the elder statesmen of rock - I mean it's Sunday afternoon, everyone wants a rest. But who'd we get? The bloody Killers! A-MAZ-ING.
7. Radiohead playing Creep
Aren't they meant to hate the song? Best singalong of the festival: maybe 100,000 people joining in, even with the swearing.
8. Shaggy giving out his phone number on stage
It's apparently 1-800-M-R-L-O-V-E-R and only ladies are allowed to call it. Don't try though; we're first in the queue.
9. Stormzy and Katy Perry's backstage love-in
RECORD A SONG TOGETHER NOW, PLEASE!
10. The sousaphone stage invasion
Especially given it was in Kano's set. At least we think it's a sousaphone. Where's classical station 大象传媒 Radio 3's staff when you need them?
11. A 大象传媒 presenter putting on corpse paint at a grindcore show
Is that in his job description? Brave, brave man.
12. Elbow elbowing their way on stage
Their secret set on the Park Stage was a bit selfish, mind. We were trying to watch The xx and then suddenly had to run halfway across Glastonbury to catch them. Give us some warning next time, lads!
13. And Slaves doing it too and everyone LOSING IT
Sweatiest set of the festival. Moshiest set of the festival. Most heaving tent of the festival. And it wasn't even announced until about five minutes beforehand!
14. The most talked about politician being a man with a bucket for a head
15. And Liam Gallagher providing THE Glasto Moment
If there was one person we thought would provide the most memorable moment of this year's fest, it certainly wasn't Liam. But he sure did when he got the crowd singing Don't Look Back in Anger in tribute to the victims of the Grenfell Tower tragedy and the recent terror attacks. It couldn't have been more moving or appropriate. A whole new side to the legend.
