the former medieval monastery Dore Abbey and Arthur's Stone, Herefordshire's oldest
man-made structure. It's also a great place for wildlife including Water

and Bank Holiday Mondays) between Hereford and Brecon via Hay-on-Wye. The bus
route goes along the B4348.
Rail: Hereford and Abergavenny are
the nearest stations. Local trains run from Shrewsbury, Crewe and Nottingham
direct to Hereford, which is the most convenient station for the Golden Valley. | Opening
