British Airways has seen an 11.1% fall in passenger numbers in June, in the wake of weeks of industrial action.

The British national flag carrier said the total passenger volume for the month was 2.57m, down from 2.93m in June 2009.

Business was directly affected by strike action during the first nine days of the month.

The news comes as cabin crew prepare to vote on Tuesday on whether to accept a new pay deal to avert further strikes.
