Crash leaves man with life-changing injuries
A motorcyclist has sustained life-changing injuries following a crash in County Durham.
The collision happened at about 17:00 GMT on Tuesday on the A690 in West Rainton, near the Chantry Place junction.
It involved a BMW motorbike and a Ford Focus car, Durham Constabulary said.
The injured motorcyclist was taken to Newcastle's Royal Victoria Infirmary, where he remains. Police are appealing for witnesses.
