Teenager dies as car hits tree
A 17-year-old girl has died after a car hit a tree in Shropshire.
The vehicle came off the road and crashed at about 18:20 GMT on Tuesday on the B4376 near Much Wenlock.
The girl, who was a passenger, was found in a critical condition and died at the scene, the ambulance service said.
West Mercia Police said a 20-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving. The force is appealing for witnesses.
