A man who died in hospital after he was injured in a four-car crash was a 鈥渧ery proud鈥 father, grandfather and great-grandfather, his family have said.

Edward Lamb, 85, passed away six days after the collision on the A415 in Abingdon, Oxfordshire, on 22 May.

His family said the retired lorry driver and keen angler 鈥渓oved life鈥, went fishing three times a week and would be missed by all who knew him.

鈥淗e had time to talk and have laughs with anyone,鈥 they said.

The family thanked all of the emergency services who helped Mr Lamb at the scene and in the last days of his life.

Anyone who saw the crash, which happened close to Abingdon Town Football Club, is asked to get in touch with police.
