Residents are being urged to have their say on how a borough in Kent should develop over the next decade and beyond.

An eight-week public consultation on Medway Council's Local Plan was launched on Monday.

The authority said the plan would cover the environment, town centre revitalisation, housing and employment, as well as potential sites for future development.

Medway Council leader Vince Maple said: 鈥淭he plan will shape where we live for years and decades to come and have an impact on all our lives, so we need it to be a blueprint of the future that we can all get behind.鈥

Councillor Simon Curry added that it was an opportunity for the people of Medway 鈥渢o improve the quality of life for us and future generations鈥.
