Date set for mother of Shay Kang's murder trial
A mother charged with the murder of her 10-year-old daughter who was found dead at a house could face trial this autumn.
Jaskirat Kaur, 33, was charged with the murder of Shay Kang after she was discovered fatally injured at a house in Rowley Regis, West Midlands, on 4 March.
No plea was entered when Ms Kaur, from Robin Close, Rowley Regis, appeared via video link at Wolverhampton Crown Court on Friday.
A plea and trial preparation hearing is due to be held on 30 August and a provisional trial date was set for 28 October.
Ms Kaur was remanded in custody.
