Works are continuing to repair a damaged bridge in Bodmin that runs over the River Fowey.
National Highways said the bridge was damaged in a crash near Bodmin Parkway railway station.
Structural damage meant temporary traffic lights were installed and a reduced 40mph speed limit was put in place.
National Highways said it was working with its partners to get repairs completed as soon as possible, but safety was the main priority.
In a statement it said: "Our engineers are working to resolve the issue and we apologise for any delays, but this work needs to be carried out for the safety of motorists."
