Water work paused for 102-year-old's birthday party

Work to upgrade five miles (8km) of water mains on Skye was paused to prevent it disrupting a 102nd birthday party.
Former Merchant Navy seaman Dolan MacAskill celebrated the occasion with family and friends at Broadford's An Acarsaid care home earlier this month.
On the same day, Scottish Water planned a temporary shutdown of mains supplies.
Care home staff were worried it would ruin the party and asked the public utility company for a slight delay to the work.
Mr MacAskill was born in 1922 in Point in the Isle of Lewis.
He worked with his father making Harris Tweed before joining the Merchant Navy.
Following his milestone birthday on 6 February, workers from Scottish Water and its contractors visited his care home with a cake and card.
