Boy, 12, hurt in hit and run near Edinburgh school
A 12-year-old boy has been injured in a hit and run near a school in Edinburgh.
He was struck by a small silver or grey-coloured car on Gilmerton Road at about 16:00 on 27 February.
Police Scotland said the vehicle involved initially stopped, but then left the scene close to St John Vianney RC primary.
The boy was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.
A section of the street between Walter Scott Avenue and Redgauntlet Terrace was closed after the collision.
Officers said the area was busy with traffic and pedestrians at the time of the incident.
