Woman dies and three injured in two-car crash

A woman died in a crash between two cars in Leicestershire.
Emergency services were called to the scene on Shilton Road in Kirkby Mallory at about 5:50 BST on Sunday.
The crash, which happened close to the junction with Leicester Road, involved a grey BMW M140i and a silver Ford Kuga, police said.
The passenger of the BMW suffered serious injuries and died at the scene.
Leicestershire Police said the driver of the BMW was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains in a critical condition.
The passenger in the Ford sustained a serious injury and is being treated in hospital, but was in a stable condition.
The Ford driver sustained minor injuries and was discharged after treatment.
Officers are appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time or has dashcam footage to get in touch.
