Man suffers 'life-changing injuries' after stabbing
A man is seriously hurt after he was stabbed near a market in Manchester.
The attack took place at about 22:30 BST on Monday on Dickenson Road, near Longsight Market, in Manchester, police said.
The victim, aged 32, was taken to hospital for treatment for what the force has described as "life-changing" injuries.
Greater Manchester Police said enquiries were "ongoing" to establish the circumstances and identify those involved.
It appealed for anyone with information or who witnessed the incident to contact the force.
Initial reports suggested a machete was used in the attack but the force said it had not found a weapon at this stage.
