Boy, 16, dies in crash in West Sussex village

A 16-year-old boy has died in a crash in a West Sussex village, police have said.

A Vauxhall Corsa crashed on Emsworth Common Road, Westbourne, near Chichester, at about 22:45 GMT on Wednesday.

The boy from Emsworth was pronounced dead at the scene. His next of kin have been informed.

Two 17-year-old girls and another 16-year-old boy were taken to hospital with serious but not life threatening injuries, Sussex Police said.

A force spokesperson has appealed for any witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage of cars in the area at the time to come forward.
