The body of a man in his 70s has been found by the side of the M25 motorway in Surrey.

On Sunday emergency services were called to Junction 8 near Reigate,

The man was pronounced dead at the scene at about 12:35 BST.

Surrey Police said his death remains unexplained but there are not believed to be any suspicious circumstances or third party involvement.

His next of kin have been made aware and a file will be prepared for the coroner.

One lane of the clockwise carriageway, which was closed while emergency services dealt with the incident, has since reopened.
