Food store planned for former newspaper site

A food store could be built on the site of a former newspaper headquarters.
Shrewsbury firm Morris and Company was given planning permission two months ago to build a warehouse where the Shropshire Star offices once stood in Ketley, Telford.
It wants to build the store, with 126 parking spaces, alongside that building.
The Shropshire Star sold its Ketley offices in 2022 after printing newspapers there for more than half a century.
Last year Telford and Wrekin Council gave permission for the buildings to be demolished.
A statement submitted on behalf of Morris and Company said the aim was to provide a "high quality attractive modern food retail store".
The company also said the proposed store has been designed to have minimal impact on the residential properties on nearby Waterloo Road and Station Road.
