Girl flown to hospital after three-vehicle crash
An 11-year-old girl was flown by air ambulance to hospital following a three-vehicle crash in the Western Isles.
Two women - aged 23 and 36 - were also taken to hospital by ambulance after the collision involving two cars and a tanker on the A857 on Lewis on Thursday.
Police said there were no life-threatening injuries, but have appealed for witnesses to the crash which happened at about 16:20.
The road was closed for about five hours to allow for an investigation.
The injured were taken to Western Isles Hospital in Stornoway.
Sgt Gary Muir said: 鈥淥ur inquiries are ongoing and we are appealing for anyone who can help .
鈥淚f you were in the area at the time and have information, including dash-cam, that could assist with our investigation then please make contact with us.鈥
