Train station's axe remains missing as man arrested

Police have arrested a 25-year-old man, but the axe taken from Bletchley station has yet to be found

Police are asking people to help find an axe that was stolen from a train station following the arrest of a man.

The axe, which was based at Bletchley station in Buckinghamshire for emergency purposes, was stolen at about 15:45 BST on Monday.

Sgt Emma Thorn, from Thames Valley Police, said following "extensive searches for the weapon, a black and yellow axe, at this time it remains outstanding".

"As such we are asking anyone with information about either the incident or location of the weapon to please come forward," she said.

A man aged 25 was arrested in connection with the theft, which police are treating as an "isolated incident".
