Christmas Day murder case suspect bailed

A man arrested on suspicion of murdering a man found dead on Christmas Day has been released on bail.

Ambulance staff found the 33-year-old victim dead in his home in Clay Street, Workington, at about 15:55 GMT.

Cumbria Police arrested a 38-year-old on suspicion of murder and appealed for information.

The force has now released the man on bail while officers continue their investigation.

A spokesperson for Cumbria Police said: "The investigation may take some time to ascertain [the] facts.

"There are no outstanding individuals relating to this investigation."
