Woman injured as car and tractor collide

A woman with serious injuries has been airlifted to hospital after a car and tractor were involved in a collision.

The female driver was released from her car by Herefordshire and Worcestershire Fire and Rescue service after being trapped in the vehicle.

Emergency services arrived at the crash on A4103 at Fromes Hill at about 06:55 BST.

The A4103 was closed in both directions but has been reopened.

A West Midlands Ambulance Service spokesman said: 鈥淥n arrival we discovered one patient, a woman, who was trapped inside her car.

鈥淎mbulance staff worked closely with other emergency service colleagues to free the woman, a process which took more than an hour.

鈥淪he was treated for serious injuries, not believed to be life-threatening, before being airlifted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham.鈥

鈥淭he tractor driver was uninjured in the incident.鈥
