A convicted sex offender has been jailed for four and a half years after police found more crimes relating to children on his phone during a routine search.
Kurtis George Randall, 29 and from Middlesbrough, was arrested during his monitoring following an earlier conviction.
Teesside Crown Court had heard Randall was a "persistent sex offender in relation to children".
He admitted offences including 13 counts of sexual activity in the presence of a child, two breaches of a sexual harm prevention order and making and possessing indecent images.
Cleveland Police said officers found evidence on Randall's phone during a routine visit to him as part of their monitoring of registered sex offenders.
Det Insp Richard Hodgkinson, from the force's management of sexual and violent offender department, said officers would make "unannounced visits" and inspect phones and computers.
He praised victims and witnesses for their "bravery" in supporting the prosecution.
Randall, of Enfield Street, must also serve a further five and a half years on extended licence upon his release and was made subject of an indefinite sexual harm prevention order.
