Man dies after being hit by taxi in Doncaster
A pedestrian has died after he was hit by a taxi in Doncaster, police said.
The incident happened on Armthorpe Road, close to the junction with Sandall Beat Lane, at around 01:30 GMT on Sunday.
The pedestrian, a 43-year-old man, was pronounced dead at the scene despite the efforts of paramedics, South Yorkshire Police said.
The driver of the taxi stopped at the scene and is helping officers with their inquiries, the force added.
Police have asked for any witnesses or drivers with dashcam footage to come forward.
