Cumbria Police is asking for witnesses to come forward

A lorry driver died when his vehicle left a road and hit a building, police said.

It happened on the A7 at Scotsdyke, almost on the border with Scotland, at about 16:10 BST on Wednesday.

The driver of the vehicle, a man in his 40s, was pronounced dead at the scene, Cumbria Police said.

The forces said no other vehicles were thought to be involved.
