Four arrested after break-in at city tip

Police have arrested four people after a break-in at a council tip in Stoke-on-Trent.
Officers were called to Burslem Household Waste Recycling Centre on Federation Road just after 18:15 BST on Monday.
Staffordshire Police said a 38-year-old man, of no fixed address, was arrested on suspicion of burglary and resisting a police officer in their duties.
Two 49-year-old men, both from Stoke-on-Trent, and a 29-year-old woman of no fixed address were arrested on suspicion of burglary.
All three men were released on bail, while the woman was released with no further action.
Ch Ins Scott McGrath, said: 鈥淲e don鈥檛 underestimate the profound impact that burglary can have on victims and the wider public.鈥
The tip was closed on Monday, with a police cordon in place around the site.
Stoke-on-Trent City Council confirmed the tip would be open as usual from Wednesday.
The authority said it was unable to comment further while a police investigation was active.
