A man has been rescued from an apartment above a shop after a fire broke out overnight.
Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service (DWFRS) said it was called to the blaze at a property on Jewell Road, in Bournemouth, at 01:07 BST.
Crews found the building - consisting of a One Stop convenience store and a residential flat - alight, said the fire service.
The man was safely removed from the first-floor apartment and taken to hospital, DWFRS said.
At the height of the blaze, 25 firefighters and six fire engines were on the scene, it said. It was extinguished just before 05:00.
DWFRS said the cause of the fire was being investigated.
